   Martial Desprin was raised in Bordeaux and Dordogne before moving to Paris at the age of 22. Since then, he has realised hundreds of projects of varied sizes in France and the United States.

   

   Over the course of more than 30 years, his projects range from a 30 m2 studio in Paris to a family property in Chicago, from an 18th century Dordogne farmhouse to a vacation villa of 12000 sqft in Saint Barts, from a Haussmann apartment in Paris to a townhouse in Bordeaux. Martial has also designed dozens of restaurants and decoration and fashion shops.

 

   Martial’s style is characterized by his work on associations and oppositions of texture and shape, scale and colour, light and volume, to create truly living spaces and an impressive sense of quiet and calm. “I like the primitive and rough, to balance light against dark, soft against rough, new against old, precious and rustic”.
